Right now I am in Ohio, at a 3-day magical college LARP run by New World Magischola, playing a wizarding college student on a field trip and probably having the time of my life. So here’s 5 things about my character, Lindsey Adler:
Lindsey has never been kissed. She grew up in a town of 226 people, and basically no options. Then she discovered she was a mage and went to a wizarding school where she was the totally awkward new girl for three years. Most of that was spent with her head in books, trying to catch up and learn everything, and live up to the expectations of her benefactor. She would’ve liked to have kissed a boy by now, although it’s something of an embarrassment to admit these days.
Lindsey loves movies. There were no theaters anywhere near her, and she’s always been too poor to afford much. But after being shipped off to Lewis and Clark Primaschola, she discovered the joy that is watching a movie in the theater. Whenever she has coins to spare, which isn’t often, she’s at the nearest movie theater, watching whatever she can get into. Her favorite is the Marvel movies, especially Captain America.
Lindsey used to be a prize-winning competitive shooter when she was in middle school. Not much to do in a tiny town, and of course back then she was daddy’s little carbon copy. Her biggest weakness, devoting herself to meet the expectations of others, drove her to be as good as she could, to make her parents proud. But then she sort of..grew out of it.
Lindsey cannot stand squirrels. They annoy the hell out of her.
Although she’s a powerful elemental mage, Lindsey’s passion (and thus her college studies) is cursebreaking. She loves solving puzzles and riddles, and studying the unique combinations of things that go into creating a curse. She’s also quite good with breaking locks.
