If you’re a regular Chaotic Goddess Swaps swapper, you’ve seen our post about stepping away from it. I feel like this warrants a deeper explanation.
The Cliff Notes Version
I have a Chronic Fatigue/EBV/Something-is-wrong-on-a-genetic-level ailment and it’s gotten to the point where I have to evaluate my life and drop all non-essential activities (I am still stubbornly clinging to some things as essential, even though they aren’t, because otherwise it feels like giving up).
We’re trying some pretty off-the-map treatments in the hopes of at least making things more sustainable in my life. This means a HUGE chunk of time (and money….so much money…) is going to medical treatments, which leaves little energy for things like swap hosting. Angie and I will attempt to host sporadically, on our own blogs, but all of my energy now is going toward treatment, work, and Printcess.
I appreciate each of you. Just knowing you real, gorgeous, flawed, funny, diverse, interesting people with messy lives are out there makes me feel less alone and less vulnerable. I do not want you to feel obligated EVER to comment on or read this blog, because I am not able to regularly reply or comment back or read your blog. Understand that I still adore you and I will touch base with you as often as I can, but it won’t be regular, consistent, or fair.
This concludes this PSA.
I’m a coffee-fueled, hobby-addicted bibliophage who makes cruelty-free mineral eye shadows (inspired by novels). I’m usually in front of a screen (writing, reading, or gaming), but I’ve been known to emerge for geekery, good food, and dark chocolate.
