I’ve had a few questions about my color wheel post, so I thought I’d make an eye of the week to show one way to interpret Triad colors.
This is not what most folks would consider work-appropriate, or even flattering. Eye catching? Yes. Date look? Not so much.
I feel ready for an 80s-themed party, or a fashion shoot.
I created an actual triangle, with triad colors (blue as the base, one side yellow, one side pink). You can see the result is pretty distracting.
Other things to note: because Vigilante is so light and Snappy Banter is so dark, it creates an illusion that my eyes are close together, by drawing all the attention to the dark pink.
To make your eyes look further apart, dab a bit of white or creme eyeshadow on your inner eye (the same shade you’d use for browbone highlight), and keep the colors on your lid within the same brightness, regardless of color.
A better way to wear these colors as a triad?
- Vigilante all over my lids, with an upper outer edge liner of Snappy Banter, and a lower outer edge liner of The Chase.
- The Chase all over my lids, with a dab of Vigilante on the inner corners and tightlined The Chase on my bottom lashline.
- Snappy Banter as a thick liner on my upper lids, with blue mascara and Vigilante very lightly on my browbone as a highlighter.
