Synopsis according to Goodreads:
Then one February morning Mia goes for a drive with her family, and in an instant, everything changes. Suddenly, all the choices are gone, except one. And it’s the only one that matters.
If I Stay is a heartachingly beautiful book about the power of love, the true meaning of family, and the choices we all make.”
I’m keeping this review simple because the book itself was pretty simple. Mia’s decision is one I think most of us have considered, and her reasons for staying or going are both compelling and earnest. It’s an emotional and relatively static read, but if you like contemporary stories based entirely in memory, you’ll probably enjoy it.
I’m a coffee-fueled, hobby-addicted bibliophage who makes cruelty-free mineral eye shadows (inspired by novels). I’m usually in front of a screen (writing, reading, or gaming), but I’ve been known to emerge for geekery, good food, and dark chocolate.
